Savannah hasn't seen her brother Jared in 18 years and only occasionally talks to him on the phone. Yet when he calls and asks her to take his daughter and keep her safe, she does it even though she didn't know she had a niece. Then Jared ends up dead, and Savannah starts getting phone calls from his "employer." Sheriff Logan, Jared's best friend, is there to guide and protect both Savannah and her niece and vows to keep the bad guys away. Old emotions and feelings resurface, and a once forbidden romance finally starts to take off. The chemistry between Savannah and Logan is a sweet, slow-burning ember that gradually grows to a full-blown fire.
