DEA agent Zeke Sloan, who is also Cate’s first love, is also working at the school undercover as part of his investigation into a drug distribution ring. Cate and Zeke are shocked to see one another, and meet weekly to share information and figure out if the missing girl is somehow connected to the drug pipeline. They also admit they have unresolved feelings for one another. After Cate escapes an attempted abduction, she finally gets the information Zeke needs to tie everything together.
