The third in Rock's "Brooklyn Nights" series (after Ways To Tempt the Boss). Chase and Tana's youthful romance ended when Tana's con-man father married and betrayed Chase's mother. Tana wanted nothing to do with her parent's criminal ways and has spent the past eight years building a life of her own while Chase has spent that time building back what was lost. He shows up on Tana's doorstep and asks her to pose as his fianc�e for one weekend. The proximity causes their attraction to reignite, though not without problems. Has he concocted a revenge scheme that will break her heart? Interesting side characters enliven the plot, including some from Rock's previous books. This winning reconciliation story builds a strong connection between the leads from the very beginning. VERDICT A delight for readers looking for a quick read with maximum emotional content.
