Surprised to learn that the building that houses her shop and apartment has been sold to Rad Kozlowski, the gruff marine who spoke to the fifth grade class on career day after all, who has heard of a wealthy marine? bookseller Serena Anderson is even more shocked when he asks her to pose as his fianc e in an effort to discourage the advances of his general's spoiled teenage daughter. Naturally, nothing goes as planned; and when Rad's wonderfully outspoken Polish grandmother gets wind of the "engagement," Rad and Serena find themselves in a situation that is likely to end in only one way. Funny, upbeat, and heartwarming, this sweet romance rewards readers with an abundance of likable characters, sassy dialog, and great sexual tension.
